All in all it was quite a good weekend. A weekend of bad timing, admittedly (we missed the James Marsters signing, and the train problem, and various other minor things which caused irritation and occassionally panic) but wine (quite a lot of wine) and comic book writers and silliness made up for that. Saturday spent the day trying to block out the news of the election and withazdaja_dafema taking photos in Richmond. Also met Jamie McKelvie and Mike Carey (comics writer and artist and comics writer, respectively) in my comics shop, and they signed things, which was cool. And azdaja_dafema managed to use up an entire role of film taking photos of pigeons, which should be useful for her exam. Evening was spent with James discussing writing and drinking very nice wine and then wine that was a definite comedown from the previous wine. Sunday went to Hertfordshire to meet Mark, went to Milton Keynes to Collectormania, which was underwhelming, and bought a Clockwork Orange poster and an underbust corset. The corset is faintly ridiculous, it has a few metal studs and lace and ribbons and two different colours of velvet. It is possibly my new favourite item of clothing so those of you who know me in real life will probably see it. Compared to it my black corset is a masterpiece of subtlety because it only has frills, and not that many of those. Then went back to Hertfordshire, temporarily broke Mark's Wii, and watched Brian Blessed on "Have I got News For You", before James arrived and we did the "Hercules in New York" commentary, and a commentary on two episodes of the 1996 Iron Man series. Monday I came back to London, was charged a ridiculous amount for a penalty fare because I'd got the wrong ticket by mistake, and watched Iron Man with my family. Iron Man is fun, especially the ending. Will squee over it another time.
When I've got some actual writing done, I will write the TARDIS meme.
