1) This morning I successfully sat an A2 exam, 7 years late. (AQA A2 English Language and Literature). This is a big thing, mostly because it's a case of me having finally done something relatively mundane which I feel I should have done ages ago, but has huge personal importance. I feel okay about it- yesterday I went to visit Friend I Talk To Most Days, so that he could buy me lunch and give me tips on how to not fuck up an exam, and how to do well in an exam, and then also give me a hug and tell me that I'd do well. (I phoned him after it today and he said that he hadn't had any doubt about my ability, but was really pleased I'd managed the pressure.

2) I've been using Habit RPG lately, to try and actually impose a routine (with rewards) on myself, and finding it really helpful. Thanks to[personal profile] such_heights for the recommendation. (Setting rewards for meeting goals was a key part of dealing with dyspraxia in GCSE and sixth form, it's nice to know it still works)

3) My family's (on Dad's side) reverse-Wolverine power of incredibly slow healing not withstanding, my injured leg is starting to heal/improve. Tent pegs are still my sworn enemy, however. (Also, I now wince every time I read about someone being wounded in anything Arthurian. This does not help my big research project.

4) My dad just rang, at midnight, to say "I've just started watching Orange is the New Black. It is very good, and much better/very different than the hype I'd read about it suggests. Also, love, Piper really reminds me of you" (because he is my dad and has seen me in analogous situations, he is allowed say this. Also, I need to write up my feelings re: Piper and my identification with her at some point.)

5) Oh gosh I'm sleepy (but this means my new antihistamines work! yay for not being full of hayfever.
